The Hartley’s Hawgs club competed in the OBF State Tournaments held August 17, 2019 (Youth) and August 18, 2019 (High School) on West Harbor and Sandusky Bay. The club had 6 youth teams participate in the Jr competition and 11 teams compete in the HS Tournament. The youth tournament had stable/warm weather with a lot of teams struggling to catch fish. For the High School competition the launch was delayed for over an hour due to a strong thunderstorm system that moved through during the early morning hours. The team of Mikey and Braden had high hopes going into the 2019 Jr National Tournament having both fished in National Tournaments in the past. The duo put that experience to good use putting together two solid days of fishing to claim the Bassmaster Jr National Championship held in Huntingdon, Tennessee on August 6 – August 7, 2019!
