Zak Davis was a former Walnut Springs and Hartley’s Hawgs member who tragically lost his life in a car accident. His family has created a memorial foundation in Zak’s honor to promote and support Zak’s passion of fishing. Each year the Foundation organizes and runs the ZakFest fundraiser event. The 2025 event will be held on June 21, 2025 between 1pm – 3pm at Hoff Woods Park in Westerville, Ohio. The Hartley’s Hawgs Team of Connor and Hoyt travelled down to Alabama to compete in the BASS HS Open on Smith Lake near Cullman, Alabama and finished 25th out of a field of 236 boats. Their finish was good enough to punch their ticket to the Bassmaster High School National Championship to be held later this summer on Clarks Hill Lake in Georgia. Coming up on October 27, 2024 the Ohio Bass Nation is holding their 2nd annual His/Her Open Tournament with all the proceeds to benefit the OBN Youth Program.
