The team of Mikey and Braden had high hopes going into the 2019 Jr National Tournament having both fished in National Tournaments in the past. The duo put that experience to good use putting together two solid days of fishing to claim the Bassmaster Jr National Championship held in Huntingdon, Tennessee on August 6 – August 7, 2019! Thanks to the Cooke family for having the club out for a pond tourney on a beautiful sunny November day. The results from the tourney are given below: Braden McNamara was the winner , choosing to fish the 2nd period had two fish for 4.52 pounds. His big fish was 19 1/2’” long and 3.10 pounds. Second place ,Adam Kinnear 3 fish  total weight 3.61 pounds. He fished period one. Third place Caleb Kidder 2 fish 2.41 pounds fishing period two. Fourth Place Ian Reed with 1.04 fishing period one. A few announcements to share with everyone: We are working on organizing a pond tournament on Sunday, November 8, 2020. Look for an email from club advisors with more information. After having some discussions with the Hoover Fishing Seminar Team and checking with Westerville Schools we are not going to be able to hold an in-person HFS this winter as we have been doing for many years as our primary fundraiser. We had our first few entries into our fall Virtual Tournament. The weekend weather is looking great and fall fishing can be a great time to catch a hawg. Let’s see some more entries. Also, a tentative date & location has been selected for the 2021 Ohio Bass Nation State Championship. This is a two-day tournament and is open to High School and Junior Anglers.
