The team of Mikey and Braden had high hopes going into the 2019 Jr National Tournament having both fished in National Tournaments in the past. The duo put that experience to good use putting together two solid days of fishing to claim the Bassmaster Jr National Championship held in Huntingdon, Tennessee on August 6 – August 7, 2019! Big thanks to Cody Gray for taking some time to talk to the group today via conference call. Today’s meeting to be held at Cabela’s has been canceled. Next meeting will be 3/29/2020 at Cabela’s. In the meantime start working on prepping your tackle and as the weather starts warming up get out and wet a line. Our Jr National Champion team of Braden and Mikey were invited to this years 50th Bassmaster Classic for some of the pre-tourney festivities and also to participate in the High School Classic Exhibition Tournament to be held on Lay Lake in Alabama on Saturday, March 7, 2020. They will compete against other teams from across the nation and will get to weigh-in on the biggest stage of all at the Bassmaster Classic on Saturday. The Hoover Fishing Seminar (HFS) XXII was held today at Walnut Springs Middle School and was a big success. We couldn’t have it done it without the help of our volunteers and the support of our sponsors and donors. The Columbus Fishing Expo is this weekend! There are a lot of great speakers and vendors. Friday evening there are several sessions specifically for youth anglers. Hartley’s Hawgs and Walnut Springs will have a table at the event to promote the upcoming Hoover Fishing Seminar (HFS) as well as each of the clubs.
