The Hartley’s Hawgs had 15 teams competing in the 2019 BASS Nation State Championship held at Rocky Fork on April 27 – April 28, 2019. There were 8 teams competing on the High School side and 7 Jr teams. Day one brought pleasant spring weather and lots of nice fish being brought to the scales including a 6.5# Hawg caught by Hartley’s Hawgs members Caleb and Tristan competing in the High School Tournament which earned big fish honors for the tourney (and also a spot on our Lunker Board!). Two Hartley’s Hawgs teams traveled to Tennessee to compete in the 2018 BASS National Championship held July 31 – August 1, 2018. There was two days of pre-fishing along with two days of competion. BASS organized a great event I’m sure the kids soon won’t forget. The tournament included 54 boats with the highest finishing Hawgs duo finishing in 16th. Way to go boys and way to represent O-H-I-O!
