A Hartley’s Hawgs duo traveled to Lake Cumberland to fish an FLW High School Open Tournament held on April 13, 2019. It was a loaded field with 161 boats. The team drew the 2nd launch spot and after a 30 mile boat ride in 50 degree weather they got busy. Caught 20+ fish during the day but had trouble getting keepers in the boat. They did land a nice smallmouth to bring to the scales. Still was a great learning experience on a beautiful body of water. For full results click here.
Below is a quick video from the weigh in…
After the tournament wrapped up decided to re-launch and hit a few spots close to the launch. Wouldn’t you know it landed some nice keepers… That is fishing for you. 🙂
