Several Teams from the Hartley’s Hawgs competed in the recent Ohio Bass Federation Junior State Championship on May 7, 2022. The event was originally scheduled to be held on O’Shaugnessy Reservoir but the location was moved to Alum Creek Lake due to heavy rains in the days preceding the event causing unsafe and tough fishing conditions on O’Shaugnessy. It proved to be a pretty tough fishing day for all the junior teams on Alum Creek as well. The Hawgs team of Brooks and Grant were able to grind it out and brought in the winning bag of fish. Thanks to all the Boat Captains for this event. This was a unique event as several of the High School Anglers were able to take junior teams out for the day. Thanks to all those kids that helped out.
This event qualifies Brooks and Grant for the upcoming TBF Junior World Championship. It was recently announced that this event will be held on Kentucky Lake launching from Paris Tenn. For the full press release about the upcoming TBF World Championship click here.
