The Hartley’s Hawgs sent 9 junior teams to compete in the 2025 OBF State Championship. It was a beautiful weather day with bluebird skies but the bite was tough. We had several teams grind out some fish to bring back to weigh-in. Club also claimed the big bass honors for the day. Congrats to Cam and Asher on their catch. As we head into another Tournament Season figured was a good time to post some helpful videos for tying some of the most common fishing knots. The most important thing with knots is having confidence in your knot(s) of choice and being able to tie them quickly and efficiently when needed. Lets get started… Below is the improved clinch knot (or Fishermans knot). Super easy to tie. Remember you can double loop thru hook/tackle eye for increased strength.
