A Hartley’s Hawgs duo traveled to Lake Cumberland to fish an FLW High School Open Tournament held on April 13, 2019. It was a loaded field with 161 boats. The team drew the 2nd launch spot and after a 30 mile boat ride in 50 degree weather they got busy. Caught 20+ fish during the day but had trouble getting keepers in the boat. They did land a nice smallmouth to bring to the scales. Still was a great learning experience on a beautiful body of water. For full results click here. The Hartley’s Hawgs took on Rocky Fork Lake to contest the HS and JR OBF 2018 State Championship. It was a hot day with some tough fishing for the majority of the field. The Hawgs claimed the Jr State Championship and fell short of a sweep by just 0.01 pounds with a Hawgs HS duo claiming 2nd place. Great Job and congrats! Two Hartley’s Hawgs teams traveled to Tennessee to compete in the 2018 BASS National Championship held July 31 – August 1, 2018. There was two days of pre-fishing along with two days of competion. BASS organized a great event I’m sure the kids soon won’t forget. The tournament included 54 boats with the highest finishing Hawgs duo finishing in 16th. Way to go boys and way to represent O-H-I-O! After finishing 2nd in Ohio’s BASS State Championship Colten Didion and John Hutson made their mark fishing one of the country’s most historic fisheries in Kentucky Lake. They competed against 175 other anglers from across the county and was able to stay above the cut-line earning the opportunity to fish on Day#3 with just 11 other teams. They finished 8th overall!
