The Hartley’s Hawgs qualified three teams to compete in the 2025 Bassmaster Junior National Championship held on Clarks Hill Lake on the Georgia/SC border. The field included kids that qualified for the event from all around the country with a field of well over 100 boats. The field also included Bassmaster Elite Mike Iakonelli and Stetson Blaylock’s kids. Huge thanks to the three volunteer boat captains. Without their dedication and support these kidsRead More →

Five Hartley’s Hawgs Teams traveled to Mosquito Creek Lake for the 2025 SAF Ohio State Championship. It was barely 50 degrees with 20+ MPH winds and spotty cold rain showers. That didn’t seem to impact the bite as 4 of the 5 teams brought fish to the scales. The Team of Conner and Hoyt placed 2nd earning a birth in the 2025 SAF World and National Championship to be held later this summer in Oklahoma. Congrats Conner and Hoyt. Thanks to all the Boat captains that braved tough weather conditions to get our anglers on the water. Also thanks to all of our Sponsors thatRead More →

The most important thing with knots is having confidence in your knot(s) of choice and being able to tie them quickly and efficiently when needed. Lets get started… Below is the improved clinch knot (or Fishermans knot). Super easy to tie. Remember you can double loop thru hook/tackle eye for increased strength. This knot will slip sometimes and doesn’t work the best with fluorocarbon lines in my opinion. The Palomar knot is another easy to tie knot that worksRead More →
