Added some additional submissions and closed up the Tournament submittal page. A lot of great fish were submitted. Our winner for Longest Fish on the High School Side was Walker with a GGGiant 21.75″ fish. Our winner for Longest Fish on the Piglet side was Asher with a really nice 18.25″ Fish. Just one more week left in our Spring virtual tournament. Keep the submittals coming. This past week we had a G-G-G-G-G-G-G GIANT bass submitted! Congratulations to Walker on his catch of a nearly 22″ hawg! He has set a high bar for largest fish but remember what Mike Iakonelli once said, “Never Give Up!” plus there are lots of other prize categories available. We have now completed week 3 of this springs virtual tourney and have new leaders for big fish in both HS and Juniors. The High School big fish is now 17.25″ submitted by Walker and the Junior big fish is 15″ submitted by Landon. You still have two more weeks to get out and participate. Our 2024 Spring Virtual Tourney kicked off this weekend and thus far we have had 13 entries in our tournament. After the first weekend we have Asher leading the Juniors with a 14.5″ fish and Ryan leading our High Schoolers with a 13.75″ fish. You still have plenty of time to get out and catch a few fish to enter into this derby. Remember to try and get a picture with the date/time of your catch in the picture but if not we will accept date/time attributes with the picture. We are starting a Virtual Tournament this coming Saturday (March 30, 2024) thru Sunday, April 28, 2024. We did some of these virtual tournaments back during the COVID time and decided to get another one going for this spring as a fun way to encourage the kids to get outdoors and do a little fishing! Several Hawgs Teams travelled to southern Ohio to compete in the SAF State championship held on the Ohio River out of Gallipolis on 6/3/23. It was tough fishing for many teams and none of the Hawgs Teams placed high enough to qualify for the upcoming SAF National Championship. The Hartley’s Hawgs had several teams competing in the 2023 OBF Tournament May 13, 2023 on Alum Creek. The morning started off raining but cleared as the day progressed. All the Hartley’s teams brought fish to the scales. Thanks to all the volunteer boat captains including current High School members and a past member.
